also what channel [or website] did you watch it on? Did they do a good job? were the pundits accurate or just bullshitters?

I watched it on CNN - no commentary during the speech, and afterwards we watched Fox News for the GOP response.

I thought Obama was really optimistic:
-Out of Iraq by August
-Nuclear proliferation in four years

I also thought taking steps to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell was pretty ballsy.

Like I've said before, I can't get pumped about this guy again until he passes health care.

I watched it on C-SPAN, after the address it went straight to Richmond, Virginia for Bob McDonald's response.

I like the positive nature of the speech. That said, I'm with you Josh, if we're not getting closer to NHS, I'm just gonna keep getting pissed and/or older.

yeah, i feel like he's making quite a laundry list of things to do...which are all good things....but i'm not seeing anything really getting crossed off the list. so, yeah....

Yeah, he said a lot of sweet stuff, but will he follow through. I don't shit what he says anymore, I'm just going to start watching his actions. So far, not too much happening there.

not to be "that guy" but, I didn't watch it, and I won't because frankly I've given up on anyone in the government actually doing anything. I also have not and will never vote, unless something seriously changes my mind about the way the country works. also fuck the police. and burn flags and shit.
